The Booneville School District will go to on-campus classes four days per week with an online option after Columbus Day. The week of October 13th, on-campus students will attend Tuesday through Friday of that week. We will not be in school on October 9th and October 12th, Columbus Day, as it is part of the official Fall Break. Beginning the week of October 19th on-campus students will go to school Monday through Thursday each week. Friday will be reserved for teachers to focus on virtual students and on-campus remediation. We will continue this schedule for the foreseeable future.
We will remain in the A and B day schedule through October 8th as originally scheduled. Again, we understand the schedule will be a hardship for parents. The current schedule, however, has drastically reduced the number of students that would have been quarantined under an alternate schedule.
Another development is that we are allowing students to change from online learning to on-campus learning without it counting as the one time a student can change from online to on-campus and vice versa. On-campus learning will have teachers reteaching the subject matter going forward.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we attempt to make the best possible decisions going forward. The above schedule is subject to change as we look at health and academic data. As always, you have our commitment that we will keep your son or daughter safe and healthy while providing them with a world-class education. Together we’re better...even apart.
